Old Fartin...
Recently, I joined a gym a block away from my house. It's been there for 2 years but I'd never taken advantage of it, since I mostly played softball and rock climbed. Lately, however, I haven't had as much time to dedicate to climbing (as I once did a couple of years ago) so finding another way of working out has been my goal. (Plus, climbing gave me the bulky muscle look rather than just looking toned and healthy.) After joining, I realized the only time to really work out was in the morning before work so that's what I've been doing lately.
Boy, has it kicked me in the butt, though! In the morning, I'm refreshed and happy with the new day after my workout (I'm a zombie at the gym beforehand.). But by about 3pm, I'm slowly fading and in need of more caffeine. And at 11pm, I'm ready to knock out. This isn't even the normal sleep. This is the sleep where I don't wake up until the next morning, trying to remember how/when I even fell asleep. Talk about old fart.
Looking at the brighter side, I'll be healther and maybe turn into a morning person. Maybe I'll even lose the extra weight I've gained in the last year from my car accident.
